Co-founder of TOA Technologies, Yuval Brisker is a passionate customer service advocate and the thought leader behind TOA’s unique focus on the customer experience. With Irad Carmi, Mr. Brisker envisioned a predictive solution for the infamous problem of customers "waiting for the cable guy." Before founding TOA, Mr. Brisker had extensive experience growing and managing various technology related ventures at MaxBill Inc., an international telecom billing software vendor in Israel; and Visual Information in New York. Before founding Visual Information, Mr. Brisker practiced architecture in New York City with HOK. Mr. Brisker has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Pratt Institute, a BS in Environmental Design from Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, and is completing an MA in Film Studies from New York University.
Co-founder of TOA Technologies, Irad Carmi is the architect and visionary behind TOA’s self-learning predictive technology. An avid early adopter and renaissance man, Mr. Carmi has taken Software-as-a-Service to a new level by introducing it to enterprise-grade companies with mission-critical functions. He has twelve years experience designing and implementing Software-as-a-Service solutions in a broad range of roles and environments. Prior to founding TOA with Yuval Brisker, Mr. Carmi was a Systems Architect at MaxBill Inc., an international Telecom Billing software vendor based in Israel. An accomplished professional classical musician before becoming a programmer, Mr. Carmi has performed as principal flutist with orchestras worldwide. Mr. Carmi has a Masters of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and has recorded and appeared live at Carnegie Hall as well as throughout North America, Europe and Israel.
Richard Alden, President of TOA Technologies Europe, understands first-hand the need for customer-centric mobile workforce management. For 10 years, Richard was the CEO of ONO, Spain’s largest cable broadband provider and oversaw the development of ONO’s business from inception to serving over 1.9 million customers with billions of Euros of annual revenue. Richard is a telcoms and broadband veteran who knows and understands the business from many angles, as an operator, as a client and as a consultant. Prior to ONO, Alden held positions as CFO of Optel Inc in the USA and as CFO of Videotron Holdings in the UK, both part of the Canadian Videotron Group. Alden is currently a non-executive director of several European media and telecoms businesses, including FON, the world’s largest free wifi community.
Fred Binstock has spent much of his career helping early-stage companies to grow and build infrastructure in the areas of finance and administration. Before joining TOA, Fred was the Chief Financial Officer for a major teleradiology firm. Mr. Binstock has also served as CFO for several companies, including AtomicBox Logistics, a third-party logistics and e-fulfillment firm where he was also a founding member of the executive team; and Controller of Voice-Tel Enterprises, a telecommunications company. Mr. Binstock began his career at Ernst & Young, where he spent 11 years on the audit staff serving numerous clients in various industries.
As Vice President & General Manager, David Troll oversees TOA’s North American operations. He brings more than 15 years of experience forging executive-level customer relationships in service-oriented businesses. Most recently, Mr. Troll served in a variety of management positions at Dun & Bradstreet, where he successfully developed and implemented a sales- and channel-management function to launch a series of new products, integrated the acquired Hoover's Online business, and drove four-year cumulative growth of over 400% in Hoover's enterprise sales. Mr. Troll was previously an analyst and editor at Jupiter Communications.
Jennifer Friedman brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic marketing, brand building and demand generation to TOA. Prior to TOA, Ms. Friedman served as the Vice President of Marketing and Customer Acquisition for Clear, the fast pass for airport security. Previously Ms. Friedman spent more than 11 years at American Express culminating in her role as Vice President of Global Marketing in the Travel Division. She began her career working in Washington DC on public policy issues such as global warming and campaign reform. Ms. Friedman has a degree in history from Cornell University and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University.
Vicki Sewell has spent much of her career building customer service organizations. She brings more than 15 years of executive leadership to TOA. As Vice President of Customer Operations, she will be responsible for providing leadership to TOA’s client services and support departments. Prior to TOA, Sewell served as the Senior Vice President of Client Services and Support for Inovis, Inc., a business-to-business services company. She also served in executive leadership positions with Primus Knowledge Solutions and Sales Technologies, a Dun & Bradstreet company.
Alexey Turchyn brings over 15 years of software development management experience to TOA Technologies, where he leads the research, product design and software development processes. He is responsible for managing implementations at customer locations, finalizing requirements, providing design development and testing, system installation and on-going support during User Acceptance Testing, production rollout and beyond. Before joining TOA in 2003, Mr. Turchyn handled solution delivery for Tier 1 customers at MaxBill Inc, an international telecom billing software vendor. He holds an MA and a BA in Applied Mathematics from Kharkov National University in the Ukraine.
As TOA's Vice President of Business Development, Dr. Assaf Morag is responsible for partnerships, channels, M&A activities and new markets. Before joining TOA, he led the worldwide introduction of the 'Mobile Clinical Assistant' for Intel Corp’s Digital Health Group. Dr. Morag has been involved in entrepreneurship and enterprise software for the past 25 years. In 1992, Dr. Morag co-founded and led Pegasus Medical, which developed software for digitizing patient records. When Pegasus was sold to HBOC (today McKesson) in 1995, Dr. Morag stayed with HBOC for 4 years as an Executive VP. He left HBOC to become co-founder and CEO of Healinx, an online service that connects patients, physicians and pharmacies. Dr. Morag has an MD from Ben-Gurion University in Israel and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
Ilan Solel brings more than 10 years of experience in international sales and business development in the telecommunications market to his role at TOA. Before joining TOA in 2004, Mr. Solel held management positions in sales and business development at Scitex Vision Europe and Maxbill, Ltd. in Israel. He began his career as business development manager at Paspartoo, an Internet company focused on providing a platform for graphic and print industries. He has an MSc from Oxford University and a BA from the Bar Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel.
Susan McLaughlin brings 20 years of marketing and operations experience both at technology startups and Fortune 500 companies to her work at TOA. Ms. McLaughlin was previously a VP of Marketing and Operations for Charter Communications, the US' third-largest cable and broadband communications company. Prior to Charter, she was marketing consultant to Fortune 500 companies at Maritz, a marketing services company. McLaughlin has a degree in Communications from University of Missouri-St. Louis, a MA in International Affairs from Washington University, St. Louis, and an MBA from St. Louis University.
Jeffrey Wartgow serves as the Vice President of Channel and Alliances for TOA Technologies, where he is responsible for building the company’s Alliance and Channel Management Team. Prior to his current position, Mr. Wartgow spent two and a half years as a Director at FTI Consulting in San Francisco, where he was charged with developing the company’s first formal partner program. Prior to FTI, Mr. Wartgow served seven years with Dell Computer. During this time he managed Dell’s Strategic Alliances for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa as well as Dell’s New Partner Evaluation program. In addition, Mr. Wartgow also led Dell’s Competitive Intelligence team focusing on enterprise products. Mr. Wartgow holds a BBA from the University of Notre Dame, a MBA from the University of Colorado, and a Masters of International Management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management. Mr. Wartgow is based in Cleveland Ohio.
